We are rebooting with that same mission at the forefront albeit as a nonprofit. We also see a path to being a resource for local youth pastors/directors while providing fellowship opportunities for them.
Why a nonprofit?
There are several reasons we have chosen to go the nonprofit route. First is it takes the burden of financing off the local churches. In the past the local churches carried the financial load of GAS. Secondly it provides us with discounted rates for venues and necessary materials.
Who are we?
Our board is made up of previous GAS pastors, local business owners, members of other nonprofit start ups, members who work with teens in the area and others that attended GAS in the 90s/00s as a student.
How can you help?
Several ways currently with more to come in the future.
- Prayer: We ask that you join us in praying for our board, staff, youth pastors, and most importantly students of Griffin and the surrounding areas.
- Experience: If you have any videos or pictures from GAS in the 90s/00s or would like to share your experience here on our page we would greatly appreciate it.
- Donate: We will be beginning our fundraising in the coming days and will post a link here to that page.
- Volunteers: Please register using the volunteer link at the top of the page.
